Andrew and Good Samaritan Save the Day

I now prominently feature our friend Andrew, who manages the electronic shop near the metro and near the underground mall, at Independence Square in Kiev.  We got off the train at the Hreshadyk station, and we're buying pizza, when Nellie says, "where is the backpack?".  The person who was carrying it forgot it on the train, a train jam packed with commuters.   All I could think was, I need "Andrew".  Andrew closes his shop, and comes and translates for us to the Kiev Metro Police.  We gave the a description of the backpack, and after about 15 minutes, they tell Andrew we are to proceed with the police to the Obalon station.

We ride with the nice Kiev Officer to the Obalon station, where a young lady, in her early 20's, is waiting at the Obalon Metro police station, with our missing backpack.  She said she tried to call to us as we exited, but took ownership of the backpack, and informed the police at the Obalon station.  We traveled 5 stops north on the blue line, got to the office, and she spoke great English.  She asked why we were in Kiev, and we told her.  She said because we were doing a good thing in adopting, good things were coming our way.  I think it was the Lord who did all this.  The Lord also told me not to be too hard on the person who lost it, so I'm practicing grace.

The young lady would not take a reward, so we thanked her profusely, as we also did the police officers who helped us.  We are just about to leave to bring Andrew a McDonalds Chocolate shake, because I know he will not accept a reward either.

Thanks, God, for looking out for us.  Andrew is a wonderful man.  I hope you will consider his business if you need electronic gear while in Kiev.
