Peanut Butter at Last!

I know you are all waiting for photos of the real stars of this adoption process.  We'll have an official visit Thursday, and we'll then start putting many pictures of the kids on the site.  But I have to appeal to all fellow Kiev travelers.  You must bring your own Peanut Butter.  Jeanne Ritzman gave us 1/2 of a jar they had....at last!!!!  I had actually found a market downtown with a huge jar of Nutella, a Huge jar of honey, a huge jar of strawberry preserves, but no Peanut Butter!!!   Arrrrrgh.

We had Solo Pizza with the Ritzmans tonight.  They got some good news, but the Friday court appearance is cutting it awfully close, so we are in prayer for our friends.  On a side note, I shamelessly asked Jeanne if she would bring another jar of peanut butter and some Kraft Mac and Cheese for us when she returns from the US.  Hey US citizens, you don't know how good you have it.  I'll take some photo's of what passes for ground beef here in Kiev, and then you can play the game, would I eat it or not?

I find myself thinking about Matthias a lot, because the Lord has made it clear to me that I take my own son for granted.  I do not spend enough time with him.  I can do stuff with him anytime at all, with no legal hurdles.  But with Anya and Artium, I have to pass legal hurdles before I can spend time with them.  So tonight I was really happy to sit next to Matthias at Solo Pizza.

I return to work tomorrow for the City of Minneapolis.  From 12:00 noon to 8:30 pm, I am on the clock.  I'll likely start a little earlier since we have an appointment with the SDA at 4:00 pm.  We can telecommute some days, so I'm telecommuting 5,000 miles to work tomorrow.  I've already set up my work computer and been in our city network.  All works well.  I'll have over 500 emails to look through tomorrow.  Won't that be fun?
But I'm grateful that I'll be able to work.  I'll really enjoy it.
